Based on the latest regional radar loops, the circulation center of Humberto was over SW Louisiana. The storm is still strong enough to pull enormous amounts of moist air northward from the Gulf of Mexico.

At 1:00 this afternoon, it was pouring rain over SE and Central Louisiana and South Mississippi. Extremely heavy rain was moving due north to West and Central Mississippi. It was also raining over most of the rest of Mississippi, including moderate to hevy showers over the extreme NW, into the Memphis area and over East Arkansas.

TRACK FORECAST
The latest official NHC track forecast has not changed that much. It shows the center right in the middle of Mississippi by daybreak and then moving into West Alabama Friday afternoon. Based on the map position, we would estimate Hale or Perry County. It would still be producing a lot of heavy rain.

ALABAMA NOW
While we are doing this, let’s give you an Alabama update. A group of showers and thunderstorms over East/Central Alabama was concentrated mainly over Chambers and Randolph Counties. Locally heavy rain in those areas. That same group of thunderstorms extends eastward well into Central Georgia.

Some heavy showers were also spreading into extreme SW Alabama as part of the circulation of Humberto. It was raining heavily over parts of Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Showers were also spreading into NW Alabama as part of Humberto, but those were not as heavy.
