Tornado warning for western Jefferson County until 1200.
Mesocyclone still looks significant on that storm as it moves across western Jefferson county at 1140 am. Tornado already reported near Bankhead Lock and Dam earlier with this storm.
Surface low now near TCL, with strong area of wind shear in central AL. Close to the center, it’s starting to get very tropical, with sunshine coming out in spots, dewpoints well into the 70s. So, the threat for an isolated tornado will continue for another hour or two in the BHM metropolitan area, then shift to east Alabama.
