Only rain still in Alabama at 9:30 tonight was a line of storms across the SE corner of the state.
Could we have custom-ordered a more meaningful rain-event for a water-starved Alabama? I doubt it. As I have said before, in all of my many years of weather work, I cannot remember a more (meaningful) (important) (beneficial) (uplifting) weather event.
Here we go with a long list of rain amounts. Gathered from NWS official stations, 3340 Skywatchers, Alabama Power stations, 3340 skycams and private weather stations. Some of these amounts are not storm totals. For example, Alabama Power gauges reset at certain hours, 3340 skycams reset (go back to zero) at midnight.
