The East Alabama tornado warnings have expired. Those storms have weakened and/or moved into Georgia.
Storms have intensified from Ashville up to the Gadsden area, but they are not severe at this time.
These storms will cross the Coosa and pass near Hokes Bluff, Jacksonville and Piedmont eventually. Lots of lightning and very heavy rain as well as gusty winds.
Showers and a few storms have increased in the past hour from Decatur back to Hamilton and down to Columbus MS. These storms are not expected to become severe.
