That line of showers (actually a broad band) of showers continues to push east and SE into Alabama.
At 12:50 pm the leading edge extended from Greene and North Hale County to Centreville, in Bibb County, to near Pelham in Shelby County then into NE Alabama into West Etowah and Cherokee County. Moderate to heavy rain was indicated in these areas:
Eutaw
Moundville
West Blocton
North Shelby
Movement is eastward although the whole system is shifting SE as a cold (cool) front pushes into the state.
At mid-day it was near 80 in Montgomery but in the 60s over North Alabama and in the 50s across much of Tennessee.
The Storm Prediction Center is considering a watch for parts of South Louisiana and South Mississippi,
