Just for the fun of it, these non-Alabama weather notes late on this Sunday afternoon:

* Well over one inch of rain at Ocean Springs, Mississippi Coastal area, so far today

* Only current Severe Thunderstorm Warning in the entire USA was for NW Pecos County in SW Texas. Will never forget the town of Pecos, spent the night there once in a howling, blinding dust storm with huge piles of tumbleweeds blocking our motel door next morning and nearly covering our car. Fun stuff…

* Snow Advisory current for six counties in West Montana and adjacent edge of Idaho.

* Hard freeze tonight for several counties in South Oregon and Extreme North california.

* Frost Advisory tonight for several counties in North Central Pennsylvania and Southwest New York.

* Current temperature 23 at Alert, the northernmost weather station in North America. (way up in the north tip of Canada)

* 29 below zero now at Summit, Greenland (on the ice cap)

* 46 degrees with a cold rain in Yellowstone National Park at 4 pm, CDT.

* Numerous snow showers over North Central Idaho and West Montana today. Heavy, wet snow was expected to accumulate 2 to 4 inches in parts of Glacier National Park.

Does all of this tell you anything???
