OK, I know I may be getting my hopes up here, but 4 consecutive 00Z/12Z runs of the GFS have been consistent in showing the cold front developing in the west late this week actually making it into Alabama by Sunday. I think we have a decent chance of getting that cold front into Alabama Sunday or Monday of next week. Other models are not as convincing.

As James mentioned in this morning’s video, the best upper-level dynamics stay north of us. But, with moisture return later this week from the Gulf, any front that comes in here should have a chance of setting off a few showers or thunderstorms by Sunday.

After that, if the cold front makes it, we could be looking at widespread lows in the 40s and highs only near 70 by early next week.

That would be nice.
