Cool weather is the story across Alabama at midday. Rain covers about the north third of the state from just north of Birmingham to the Tennessee border. The rain is moving almost due east. Much of the rain is light, but there are a few reports of moderate rain in the Tennessee Valley.
One of our latest weather models points to a low of around 22 in the Birmingham area by this weekend. We will finetune all of that later in the formal forecast
