Good morning, all. No way to do a full video update this morning as I’m headed down to the BJCC for our annual Storm Alert Xtreme event today. I hope to see you all there.

But I thought I’d make a quick post about our upcoming weather. Looks like we’ll see another one in the great strings of beautiful weekends. Afternoon highs should climb nicely into the upper 60s for most spots today and tomorrow.

A weak upper level trough promises to bring rain chances to the area Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, but the short wave will be moving briskly along so I would not expect to see much in the way of rain. Amounts will probably be less than a quarter of an inch and many spots might not see rain at all. Unfortunately, our deficit keeps getting bigger and bigger.

This weather system will not be a strong one so I expect temperatures to drop back a bit after getting up into the 70s Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday.

Possibility of another shot at some rain over next weekend, but that is getting out into voodoo country, so I wouldn’t put a lot of stock in that just yet.

I hope you have a great Saturday. I expect to have a complete Weather Xtreme Video posted tomorrow morning by 8 am or so.
