The main line of showers and thunderstorms just before 11 pm had shifted over into East Alabama and extended down into SW Alabama.

More specifically, from Cleburne County along the Georgia border southwestward through Central Alabama to SW Alabama.

It is not a sharply defined line. The showers and storms have spread out considerably.

Lightning activity has greatly decreased. Still some areas of heavy rain.

Nothing going on in NW Alabama.

No more risk of a tornado. In fact, we have no confirmed reports of any occurring tonight even though a Tornado Watch was posted for a large part of North and West Alabama. Several reports of trees down mainly in West Alabama and a few reports of hail as much as one inch in diameter.

This has turned out to be a ood rain event for many counties. We will try to post some rain amounts tomorrow morning.
