Showers continue at midday across parts of East and Central Alabama… in the general area from Anniston to Montgomery. Only 81 degrees at noon at Montgomery with rain falling. Look for additional showers and storms this afternoon as the daytime heating process continues.

An upper-level ridge to our west and surface high pressure to the northeast will keep Alabama dry and slightly cooler this weekend. As we head into the week, the ridge will spread further into the state, warming us some and keeping rain chances at bay. Continue reading
