Radar at 3:45 EARLY on this Saturday morning showed a large solid mass of rain and drizzle over about the south 2/3 of Alabama.
You could draw a line across the north from about Fayette east through Jasper, Oneonta and Gadsden and there was almost no precipitation north of that line.
Earlier, NWS, Birmingham, cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory. They replaced it with a Freezing Rain Advisory (or Freezing Drizzle Advisory) for these counties until 8 o’clock this morning:
Marion
Lamar
Fayette
Winston
Walker
Blount
Etowah
Calhoun
Cherokee
Cleburne
Talladega
This means that the Birmingham-Tuscaloosa area is no longer under any type of advisory. (This does not mean that an isolated report of light freezing rain may come in)
