Just looking across the Skycam network which is only available from ABC 33/40, there has been a nice rain in spots in an area north and west of a line from Demopolis to Anniston. Here is a quick rundown of rainfall amounts:
Cullman 0.36″
Decatur 0.05″
Birmingham 0.17″
Gadsden 0.07″
Huntsville 0.01″
Inverness 0.09″
Jasper 0.28″
Tuscaloosa 0.19″
Other reporting sites:
Birmingham airport 0.11″
Tuscaloosa airport 0.19″
Muscle Shoals 0.20″
Columbus AFB MS 1.29″
Haleyville 0.35″
Albertville 0.20″
Nice soaking rains. Even in a drought, let’s hope that the strong thunderstorms expected Tuesday and Tuesday night don’t drop too much rain that would result in flash flooding.
