Some low-level cooling being offset by upper-level cooling. Air still humid. Plenty of instability to maintain storms into central Alabama. CAPE near 1000 J/kg in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

0-1 km storm-relative helicity (causes storm rotation) still 300-400 m2/s2, only 150 needed for tornadoes. So storms will continue to rotate and have tornado potential.

Several cells to worry about right now. A quick rundown…

1. Cell with possible tornado near Winfield will move into Winston county, eventually may approach Moulton. Funnel cloud already reported near Sulligent.

2. Cell with possible tornado in Pickens county will approach Fayette area, eventually Carbon Hill.

3. 2 more storms with rotation will move into west Alabama after 3 am.

Additional storms may also develop just about anywhere west of I-65. If a tornado warning is in effect or is issued for your area, take cover immediately.
