Wow, what a game last night! And such wonderful weather for it, too. Looks like the fine Fall weather continues for several more days for us as things develop off to the west of us. Looks like we will be warming nicely through mid-week with highs reaching the lower 70s Monday and Tuesday. Those values are about 4 to 6 degrees above where we typically find ourselves in early November. And the lows will do much the same with values in the lower 50s.
A sizable trough comes out of the western US on Wednesday. The ridge over the Southeast holds pretty tough, though, so the associated front will manage to push through by late Wednesday allowing for some significant cooling as well as clearing skies on Thursday. Rainfall is expected to be fairly light with amounts for locations that get rain to be less than a half inch. Thursday and Friday we’re likely to see highs struggling to get out of the 50s with morning lows back into the 30s with the potential for more frosty morns.
The upper ridging returns quickly, though, bringing us back under a southwesterly flow and warming conditions with highs by next weekend into the lower 70s again.
Tropics are relatively quiet with a large area of cloudiness southwest of Bermuda.

Our annual storm spotter training is coming up on Saturday, November 12, at the BJCC. It is part of the Alabama International Auto Show. We begin at 9:00 am and plan to be done at 2:00 pm. And, as a “thank you,” you will get free admission into the car show. There is no cost and no need to register. We ask all existing and potential Skywatchers to attend. Hope to see you there!
One more day in Fort Morgan and then it’s home again. Home is a great place to go to, but I have to admit that the Alabama Gulf Coast is a wonderful place to visit. We’ve had a wonderfully relaxing time. James Spann should be back at the helm with the next Weather Xtreme Video first thing tomorrow morning. Hope you remembered to set your clocks back as we adjust back to standard time! Godspeed.
