Sure seems that way.

As we approach mid morning, rain was extensive across Alabama, mostly from about Cullman southward to the coast. Not every community was getting rain.

There was a wide band of extensive rain across North/Central and Central Alabama and mostly light rain down across the southern third of the state. In Central Alabama, some of the heaviest rain was over the West/Central counties of Greene and North Sumter. All of it was moving ENE. It was also pouring south of Mobile over the North Gulf.

Good chance that all of Central Alabama could receive as much as 2 inches of rain in the next 24 hours. Perzactly what we need. (That is an old West Alabama expression)

Quite a temperature difference this morning. At 8:00 a.m., look at these temperatures from north and south:

37 in Muscle Shoals
46 Birmingham
54 Evergreen
57 Mobile

SEVERE WEATHER SITUATION
The Storm Prediction Center has a Slight Risk for today and tonight for these areas:

East Texas

For tomorrow, the Slight Risk area extends as far north as near Montgomery and over into South Georgia. All of NW Florida is included and also the Mississippi coast and the New Orleans area. We all know that the second day outlooks are not sealed in titanium.

TORNADO WATCH
