Writing from the ABC 33/40 Weather Center–high tech for sure
At 5:30, still no excitement in Alabama except a brisk south wind. The main action is over in Mississippi where the NWS/Jackson issued several Tornado Warnings including the Yazoo City area.
The most intense thunderstorms were over South Central Mississippi and others NW of Jackson
There are actually two lines of thunderstorms. The other one is along the Louisiana-Mississippi border.
It will be hours before even the first line of storms gets into West Alabama.
So we will wait and watch and not worry about sleep. Who needs sleep?
Bill Murray will be posting overnight also. He is in Alexandra, La., and ironically his area came under a Tornado Warning late this afternoon. Bill was tempted to take to his car and do some storm chasing. That will never get out of his blood.
As for me, I am more atuned to drizzle chasing.
Life goes on…
