No thunderstorms in Alabama at 2 o’clock very early on this Wednesday morning.

The line of intense thunderstorms has moved into West Mississippi and the NWS in both Memphis and Jackson has issued several Tornado Warning including several counties in West and Central Mississippi.

Tornado Watches are in effect until 7 am, CST for the following areas:

West Tennessee
Southeast Arkansas
All of Louisiana
All of Mississippi except the SE corner

The watch is as far east as the Alabama border but no part of Alabama is included yet. Most likely the watch will be extended into Alabama later this morning..

NWS/SPC has the following areas under a slight risk for severe weather for the next 24 hours:

Most of Tennessee
All of Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and West Virginia
East Kentucky
North Florida

Again, no thunderstorms yet in Alabama.

Projected time line for Alabama still seems on track with storms reaching the Alabama-Mississippi border around daybreak and as far east as I-65 corridor mid-morning (including Birmingham area)

Will be up and at again very, very early. Not a pleasant day ahead for Alabama.

Two very slight good-news items (really just semi-good news)

1. No PDS currently in the Tornado Watches to our west.
2. No Moderate Risk so far in the outlook for the next 24 hours.
