The severe thunderstorm watch has been canceled for Bibb, Blount, Jefferson, Marengo and Perry Counties.
It continues until 8 p.m. for Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Dallas, Etowah, Shelby, St. Clair and Talladega Counties.
at 2:25, the line of weakening storms extends from Albertville to east of Birmingham through Shelby, Chilton and Dallas Counties then into southwestern sections of the state.
Decent lightning in some of the heavier cells, especially over eastern Jefferson County and in the southern part of the line from Chilton County southward.
No warnings at this time.
