Weather information from that part of the world is not easy to come by. We do have a forecast for Rangoon although not sure of how reliable.

Their forecast is for showers and thunderstorms every day all the way through next Tuesday with an 80 to 100% chance each day. Lows near 80, highs 84-86. Even those temperatures would indicate that the atmosphere is very tropical.

Here is a link that should help:

The one of interest is WTIO21 (should be near the top)

Also click on TCFA Graphic for a map plot of the suspect area.

This is the US Navy tropical weather web site so it is not usually written in the same format like our familiar tropical storms and hurricanes. One thing to remember, they refer to wind in knots. To get mph, multiply by 1.15 so 30 knots would be 35 mph, 50 knots 58 mph and 100 knots 115 mph.

It seems that it is still in the formative stage and maybe not yet Cyclone (their name for a tropical storm or hurricane.)
