A Flash Flood Warning continues for the south part of both Mobile and Baldwin Counties until 12:30 this afternoon. Another report from the area from Kathern Ellis, who lives in Mobile County near Grand Bay but a little north of I-10. She reported 4 inches of rain had already fallen by 9:00 this morning.
Still lots of rain from SE Louisiana, across coastal Mississippi into coastal Alabama and NW Florida. However, lightning return has dropped off somewhat in Mobile and Baldwin Counties and the rain does not seem quite as heavy. The heavier rain, along with some thunderstorms, extends from Ft. Walton Beach and Destin over on the NW Florida coast southward into the Gulf of Mexico. Everything is moving generally eastward.
The rest of Alabama? Most of the rain is near the coast and over extreme South Alabama from Mobile over to near Opp and Dothan with some lighter rain northward to south of Montgomery. Approximately the north two-thirds of Alabama remains dry and cool.
A little later this morning, I will try to post a few additional Alabama storm totals that we did not have last night when we posted that long list. However, you may be bug-eyed from reading so many totals.
