NWS/Birmingham posted a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for North Marion County in NW Alabama until 5:30 pm.
The storm was 17 miles west of Hackleburg or 11 miles NW of Hamilton and moving east at 16. Wind gusts 60-70 mph possible.
It is part of a line of intense thunderstorms that extends from Huntsville to near Moulton and Russellville, then across NW Marion County.
It is interesting to note that the line of storms has built southward through East Mississippi to SE Louisiana although the line of storms is not solid inthose areas.
