Not as many thunderstorms but still some strong ones in spots. First the advisories or statements:
* A Significant Weather Alert for North Cherokee until 7:30
* Significant Weather Alert for NE Dekalb County until 7:15
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Chilton County expired at 7
WHERE THE MAIN STORMS ARE
* Several near Fort Payne and extended east to the north tip of Cherokee County right along the Georgia border.
* Thunderstorms with heavy showers North Autauga County with very heavy rain along U.S. 82.
* Strong thunderstorms Central and South Chilton County moving slowly SE.
* Some of the heaviest rain was passing SW of Clanton
* Storms have greatly weakened in the Greater Birmingham area.
* 0.30 rain from 3340 Skywatcher in South Hueytown
Undoubtedly some parts of Jefferson/Shelby County got over two inches late today. We will list some rain amounts later this evening.
