Showers across Alabama were increasing in number and bigger in size at mid afternoon. There were not many showers over the north third of the state and they were not especially numerous over the central and south.
The movement seems more consistent than yesterday, when at times they were wandering around like they were lost. Today, however, most all of them are moving slowly northward.
In North/Central Alabama, there were a few showers over Talladega, Etowah and Jefferson Counties. Most of the lightning was over the SE half of the state.
Those showers and storms will continue to increase in number for the remainder of this afternoon and evening. Stay tuned for more updates.
