A cluster of strong storms is crossing the state line and is beginning to impact portions of Sumter and Greene counties. These storms are moving off the northeast and are producing gusty winds, frequent lightning and torrential rainfall.

Areas along Interstate 20/59 and Highways 11, 43, and 80 will be impacted as well as the cities of Livingston, Geiger, York, Cuba, and Forkland. This does include the University of West Alabama.

These storms should persist for the next few hours and are expected to impact areas across West Alabama.
