NWS Huntsville posted a Significant Weather Alert for Colbert County in Extreme NW Alabama until 3:15. Based on a strong thunderstorm 7 miles SW of Cherokee moving SE at 25.
It could possibly produce 1/2 inch diameter hail and gusts to 40 mph. along with heavy downpours.
Other places in the path are Mynot and Rock Creek.
Meanwhile, widely scattered showers and a few thunderstorms continues over East Central and SE Alabama. Not much lightning.
Everything was moving toward the ESE or SE.
