In Extreme NE Alabama, the Jackson County EMA reports thunderstorm wind damage at 3:58 pm (time estimated) near Estillfork in North Jackson County. Trees were also uprooted.
This small community is quite a ways up the Paint Rock River Valley and not far south of the Tennessee Border.
It is in a beautiful area, and one of my favorite drives.
The line of showers and a few thunderstorms at 5:50 pm was near the Fayette-Jasper-Oneonta-Gadsden-Centre line. The leading showers were entering North Jefferson County
Moving SE and decreasing in intensity.
