It is midday in Alabama and the first thunderstorms of the day were showing up over the extreme NE part of the state. Actually, it is a line of thunderstorms over East Tennessee that extends down into the NE corner of Alabama over West Jackson County west of Scottsboro.

Down south at 12:15 p.m, there were scattered showers and storms over about the south one-third of the state. Some of the stronger ones were over Mobile, Baldwin and Washington Counties.

Everything was moving generally toward the NE.

The showers and storms will be increasing in number as the afternoon goes on. Another good chance on Saturday, but it still looks like Sunday may be our most active weather day.
