It has been a mostly dry day across central Alabama. The clouds have dropped a few sprinkles and light showers but nothing too significant. As we head through the overnight hours, a few sprinkles will be possible with an area of unorganized weather to our west. This area is associated with a short wave trough moving across the Southeast.
The atmosphere over Alabama remains very dry and the rain will have a hard time reaching the ground. Most areas will stay dry, but a few sprinkles and perhaps a very light shower will be possible throughout the overnight hours. Any plans you have for the evening should have not issues with rain.
