We are watching a few areas of light showers working east-northeast this evening across southern Mississippi. These showers could hold together into Central Alabama and could allow for a few hours of very light rain. The majority of the activity will mainly affect our southern counties, but a few showers could make it as far north as the Birmingham Metro.
The limiting factor will be that dry air is moving in from the northwest behind the front that has moved through the state today. The dry air will eventually win out. Throughout the overnight hours we expect any rain to dissipate.
