After a very cold start to the morning, where most us were in the lower 20s and even some teens observed, we have all warmed to above the freezing mark. That is thanks in most part to the to mostly sunny skies that we are experiencing today. The northern half of the state is seeing mostly sunny skies, while there have been some clouds move in across southern portions of the state. We could see some clouds make it into the northern part of Alabama as we head throughout the afternoon.

Even though the sun is out, it will remain a fairly cold day across the state. Afternoon highs are only expected to reach the upper 40s today across Central Alabama. Upper 40s for highs are about 5-8 degrees below normal for this time of year. All locations will remain dry today as no rain is expected.
