The big thunderstorm that prompted the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Jefferson County continues to move toward the ESE and SE.

At 8:45 pm, the worst of that storm had moved into South St. Clair County and NE Shelby. The storm was still dumping very heavy rain and it has overdosed on lightning. It was still raining heavily over East Jefferson County, places like Irondale.

During the height of the storm, it was raining at the rate of 1.95 inches an hour in SE Trussville reports the 3340 Skywatcher.

We will try to gather a few rain amounts a bit later.
