A lot of folks got rain yesterday and some good amounts, while others were left high and dry. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had the power to turn on the clouds every afternoon at 3:00 and give every square inch of the state 1/4 inch and then turn off the sky spigot? Just a little juvenile thought there.

There is a big contrast in who has received rain lately and who has not. For example, Alabaster/Navajo Pines has received only 0.04 so far in July, while up in NW Alabama, the community of Lynn has received 6.50 inches since last Saturday. Bill, our 33/40 skywatcher at Vigo east of Piedmont, had gone a long time without rain, but now he has been drenched with 3.80 inches in 7 days.
