Not many thunderstorms across North Central Alabama this afternoon and very few over the north third of the state.

Hpwever, some of the thunderstorms were growing stronger from the SE “Bootheel” of Fayette County (translation: the Berry area) southeastward across South Walker County into parts of West Jefferson and Shelby County.

They were all moving SE

One of the stronger storms was moving from the south tip of Walker County and approaching Oak Grove in the west edge of Jefferson County. Not a real big thunderstorm but pouring rain.

Another storm further south was along the Tuscaloosa/Jefferson County line near Abernant and moving toward Woodstock in the north tip of Bibb.

By far the biggest storms continue across the southern tier counties of Alabama–generally from Choctaw, Clarke and Monroe County eastward all the way over to the Dothan-Ozark area. Pouring rain in some of those areas.

Everything moving SE
