Rather numerous thunderstorms now over Cullman, Walker and Winston County. Moving east and SE generally in the direction of the Birmingham Metro area.
In fact a strong thunderstorm has already entered NW Jefferson County from Walker County. Another smaller storm just north of Downtown Birmingham.
Bottom line…a good chance that Jefferson County may need a warning before the afternoon is over.
The entire area is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7
NEW WARNING FOR WALKER
It is in effect until 2:30 pm
