Here in Central Alabama, all of the showers and thunderstorms have fizzled into an area of light to moderate showers.

By far, the remaining thunderstorms at 10:40 pm were in NW Alabama with the strongest ones over NE Franklin and SE Colbert County. The NWS in Huntsville has that area under a Significant Weather Alert until 11:15 pm.

Those are issued when dangerous lightning, heavy rain and strong winds are expected but not quite serious enough to issue a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Further east, a band of moderate to heavy showers extended from near Huntsville southward to Blount County. Moving east.
