It’s extremely unlikely that James Spann will post anything here about the honor he received yesterday, so I’ll spill the beans.
As part of the 40th Annual National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Region Emmy Award yesterday, James received an Emmy award for Outstanding Achievement in Television Crafts Achievement Excellence for On-Camera Talent–Weather Anchor.
It is my understanding that this is his first individual Emmy award, but he was one of the people responsible for an Emmy award to ABC 3340 for coverage of the Tuscaloosa tornado in December, 2000. James was also recognized in 2013 with the Silver Circle Award for 25 years of excellence in television broadcasting.
Congratulations, James!
