Not for our area, but the Storm Prediction Center has posted a Tornado Watch until 10:00 tonight for extreme SW Alabama and two counties in NW Florida. There are also a number of South Mississippi and South Louisiana counties included. Here is a list of the Alabama/NW Florida counties:

Very strong thunderstorms over SE Louisiana and South Mississippi continue moving generally eastward. There are already some fairly strong thunderstorms from Central Alabama from Hale and Perry Counties southeast to the Florida border. Very heavy rain will be spreading eastward into such counties as Chilton, Coosa, Elmore and others in SE Alabama. However, those counties are not included in the Tornado Watch.
A Flash Flood Watch continues for a big part of South Mississippi and there have been several Flash Flood Warnings in that area.
We will, of course, watch all of this closely for the remainder of this afternoon and tonight. Looks like a long tour of duty in the weather office, but we have the world’s best coffee.
