Everything seems to be in slow motion with Fay as she comes up on her one week birthday. Here are a couple of notes on Fay just before 1 pm CDT.
Center about to come off coast of Florida.
Center is broad but still fairly easy to find.
Most hourly reporting locations on land experiencing wind of 25 to 30 mph with higher gusts
Water temperature in Northeast Gulf running about 83 to 85 degrees.
Movement is still west around 4 pm with some wobbles noted.
Outer rain shield now on Montgomery NWS radar but not yet on BMX – but close.
I’m sure JB will be along with more information in a few minutes. He’s a weather machine!! Oh, and a legend!!
