Scattered showers developing across Central Alabama mainly over Jefferson, St. Clair, Talladega, Shelby and Chilton County.
So far they are smaller and not as heavy as those mean storms that crossed the area late yesterday. However one of the showers this afternoon was moderate to heavy along and just east of I-65 in North Chilton County in the very center of Alabama.
The showers will grow more healthy as the afternoon goes on.
Meanwhile, way down south, a line of heavy showers and some thunderstorms was all the way across the bottom of the state. They were also moving northward slowly dumping heavy rain.
For our weekend transition in weather, we are calling for a low of 62 for Birmingham Sunday morning. I feel sure places like Pinson will have about 58. Maybe we should throw a pre-October party?
