Moderate to heavy rain over a good part of Alabama from Tuscaloosa and Jefferson County southward into SE Alabama. Not much lightning. Most of that is in the SE Mississippi storms.
Almost all of Alabama getting rain except most of Mobile and Baldwin County. That break is only temporary.
A line of strong to severe storms was across SE Mississippi into SE Louisiana.
NWS/Mobile posted a Tornado Warning until 5 pm for NW Greene County, NE Perry County and South Wayne County, all in SE Mississippi. These storms will reach SW Alabama later where a Tornado Watch is already in effect until 10 tonight for nine counties as well as two in NW Florida. (Scroll down for a list of the counties)
