A rather broad zone of showers and a few thunderstorms continues across Central Alabama tonight.

The precipitation (showers, some thunderstorms, even some leftover steady light rain in come areas) extended from about Livingston and Demopolis on the west side of the state east and NE to Selma, Montgomery and into Randolph County. Some heavier rain in progress in Clay County, That is also where most of the lightning is.

Overall the weather is “winding down” but look for more tomorrow. In fact showers and thunderstorms Sunday will become numerous at times especially in the afternoon,.

The high in Anniston this afternoon was only 86 as compared to 99 Thursday! They received an additional 0.39 rain amount today.
