STILL WARM, STILL DRY: Not much change in our weather is expected through Friday. Mostly sunny warm days, clear pleasant nights. Highs in the 81 to 85 degree range, lows in the 50s. High pollen levels. Today will be the 6th consecutive day without a drop of rain for the state.
THE WEEKEND: A cold front will drop through here Saturday evening, and it has the potential to bring a few showers, but models continue to trend drier, and it sure looks like most of the day will be dry. Many of you have been asking about the spring football games at Alabama and Auburn; I would say the chance of rain for the game at Auburn is so small it isn’t worth the mention now, and even at Tuscaloosa the chance of rain is only about one in eight. A few showers are possible Saturday evening, but they will be pretty scattered, and many spots will miss the rain completely. Cooler and drier air follows for Sunday, when highs will drop back into the low 70s.
NEXT WEEK: Watch the Weather Xtreme video and you will see the 00Z GFS is coming in dry on Monday and Tuesday. Still some possibility the weather turns unsettled over the latter half of next week with a disturbed southwest flow aloft setting up across the Deep South.
