Radar at 5:54AM shows that much of the state is dry as we wake up this morning except for some shower activity over the southeastern parts of the state and over the Alabama Gulf Coast. No big deal for now, but that will be a different story as we move into the afternoon hours.
While no severe weather is expected in Alabama this morning, there is a significant threat for severe weather shaping up for this afternoon through the overnight hours tonight for the entire state, including a moderate risk for severe storms over portions of extreme western and southwestern Alabama.
I am currently working on the video briefing for this morning, and it may be out a little later than usual as I am working hard to gleam as much information as I can to spread out to you, the public. Stay tuned!
