An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below, and on iTunes…
Not much change in our weather through early next week; we are looking at mostly sunny mild days and clear cool nights through Monday. Highs will be mostly in the 70s with lows in the upper 40s and lows 50s. Next weekend probably won’t be as nice, so get out there and enjoy it.
NEXT WEEK: The latest run of the GFS (00Z) still shows our next good chance of rain on Thursday of next week with an upper trough moving in from the west. That might also bring the chance of strong thunderstorms; there is a risk associated with that system to the west during the first half of the week in the SPC Day 4-8 guidance (watch the video to see it).
Once again, the model has flipped details of the second impulse; it now shows a dry day on Friday, then it brings more rain back in here Saturday night and Sunday. We will be much more comfortable in the resolution of this event early next week, but there is no doubt there will be some rain around at times during race weekend at Talladega.

I am headed out to Tuscaloosa County this morning, where I will be speaking to the kids at Cottondale Elementary School… then it is back to the office where I will have the afternoon Weather Xtreme video posted by 3:30. Enjoy the day!
