Not much going on in Alabama as daybreak approaches. Showers limited to Extreme SE. That will change today as Claudette advances (slower than earlier expected) toward the northwest.
The official track forecast brings the center along the Alabama-Mississippi border laster today and into NE Mississippi at midnight. Center over Extreme West Tennessee Tuesday afternoon.
She will be downgraded rather quickly to a tropical depression.
The track forecast puts a good part of Alabama on the east side of the circulation which means some strong thunderstorms and locally heavy rain. A few weak spinoff tornadoes but that threat seems rather small.
