A few showers have developed over the eastern part of the state this afternoon in the increasing moisture and daytime heating.

Showers have formed from Central Blount County near and south of Oneonta to NW St. Clair near and west of Ashville.

A heavier showers was in NE Cherokee County east of Gaylesville. Another was west and southwest of Leesburg, or west of Centre, in Cherokee County.

There was a shower in the Anniston area. Others were blossoming near Borden Spring in northern Cleburne County.

A developing storm was between Brookwood and Vance in Tuscaloosa County. Another was forming near Peterson.

The storms are nearly stationary, perhaps drifting slowly to the east or southeast.

No lightning on the network yet, but it can’t be far away with these developing storms. Watch out for that as the storms tend to develop and quickly rain themselves out.

We didn’t call for ’em, but we will take. Many lawns and crops, especially over East Alabama, and back to the west near the Mississippi border are in need of rainfall.
