A few showers have developed this evening from the Birmingham area to near lake Logan Martin then into Cleburne County north of I-20.
Brief heavy rain fell here in Trussville from the cell that is located between Trussville and Leeds.
There is a shower trying to develop over western Jefferson County that could affect southern parts of the Birmingham Metro if it intensifies.
Movement is southeast at at 30-40 mph.
