Temperatures have lowered a bit more into the mid-30s over part of North Alabama. The wind today is much lighter than yesterday.
Visible satellite pix show clear weather over West and NW Mississippi. It also indicates some clumps of thicker clouds over Alabama from about Birmingham westward. That is why it looks a little darker now than it did earlier this morning.
Virtually no precipitation being reported around the state.
WHERE IS THE LOW?
It was a major low pressure area and it is centered now near the Pennsylvania-New York border. Prog charts were very much on target with the forecast path of this storm, even before it was born in the Gulf of Mexico. It tracked across Extreme NW Alabama yesterday–thus our very windy day.
