As many of you probably know, my daughter lives and works in Chicago. The forecast calls for 8 to 16 inches of snow south of Chicago over the next 36 hours with 6 to 8 inches across Chicago. They already have some snow, so she sent me these pictures that she took just after noon on her way home from Broadway Costumes.
The picture below is just outside Broadway Costumes and the snow was coming down at the time. Notice the cleared roadway – the City of Chicago does a marvelous job in keeping the roads cleared.

The tracks on the “El” near the Sheridan Station.

Here is a view of the snow along Sheridan Road north of downtown Chicago.

Snow on the courtyard of my daughter’s apartment with a few tracks suggesting that people are still getting around.

Glad she took time to send these pictures and allowed me to share them with Blog readers.
